Pascal's Triangle



Some of the children in year 6 have been finding out about Pascal's Triangle. Each number is made by adding the two numbers above it. There are loads of different patterns that can be found when the triangle gets bigger. Check out this website for some of them.

Fraction games

Frosty fractions - game for 2 players - add fractions (halves, quarters, eighths) by converting fractions to those with common denominator. If the answer is an improper fraction it needs to be converted to a mixed number.

Melvin's make a match - match fractions to pictures - they start easy then get harder including equivalent fractions.

Dolphin racing - choose the biggest fraction to race your dolphin and move it the furthest each go (2 levels)

Tug team fractions - compare fractions using <, > and =

Dirt bike proportions - play with up to 4 player (you join a game or create one for others to join) - equivalent fractions

Ratio blaster - finding equal ratios

Bridge builders - use what you know about equivalent fraction etc to help fill the gaps in the path (it gets harder!)

Triplets - match equivalent fractions and pictures of fractions (each round gets harder!)

Escape from fraction manor - solving fraction puzzles

Spring flowers - a game for 1 or 2 player - using halves, quarters and eighths
